Connect Centre, London
This program was developed in January 2009 to support those with challenging behaviours and complex needs to ensure all people have meaningful days. This program aims to connect those we support with an intellectual disability to their community by involving them in volunteer opportunities, activities that enhance life skills, develop natural relationships and a chance to have some fun.
The goal of the Connect London is to assist those we support in developing and maintaining natural relationships and friendships in the community and ensuring people with an intellectual disability are contributing and valued members of their local community.
Currently we support 6 to 7 people within the program during the day Monday to Friday with the future goal of expanding the program to include evenings and weekends to provide respite to families within the London-Middlesex communities.
